Perfect Brownie Bread – A Rich, Chocolatey Dessert with a Fudgy Center

Step 1 – Prepare the Oven and Pan

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).

Grease and lightly flour a 9×5-inch loaf pan or line it with parchment paper for easier removal.

Step 2 – Mix Butter and Sugar

In a large mixing bowl, combine the melted butter and sugar.

Mix until the ingredients are well combined and the mixture looks smooth.

Step 3 – Add Eggs and Vanilla

Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.

Stir in the vanilla extract until fully incorporated.

Step 4 – Combine Dry Ingredients

In a separate bowl, whisk together:

  • Cocoa powder
  • All-purpose flour
  • Salt
  • Baking powder

Mix until evenly combined.

Step 5 – Prepare the Batter

Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture.

Gently fold everything together until just combined.

Avoid overmixing because it can make the brownie bread less soft.

Step 6 – Add Chocolate Chips

Fold in the chocolate chips if using.

They will create delicious melted chocolate pockets throughout the loaf.

Step 7 – Bake the Brownie Bread

Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and smooth the top.

Bake for 40–45 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.

Do not overbake to keep the inside soft and fudgy.

Step 8 – Cool and Serve

Allow the brownie bread to cool in the pan for about 10 minutes.

Transfer it to a wire rack and let it cool completely before slicing.

Serve plain or with your favorite topping.
